Contentious Probate

‘Contentious probate’ covers all aspects of a deceased person’s estate over which there is a dispute. For example:-

  • Do you want to make a claim against someone’s estate?

  • Do you believe that a testator lacked mental capacity when making a Will?

  • Do you believe that the will of a deceased person was invalid?

  • Do you believe that you should have been left something under a Will?

  • Do you believe that a signature on a Will has been forged?

  • Are you an executor who is disagreeing with another executor in respect of the administration of an estate?

  • Is an executor of an estate trying to coerce you to do something you do not want to do?

  • Are you a family member who is entitled to a share in someone’s estate and you cannot agree how the estate should be administered?

  • Are you entitled under someone’s Will and are unhappy with how it is being administered?

  • Are you arguing about the interpretation of a Will?

  • Do you feel that you were entitled to more than you have been given under a Will or intestacy?
