Round-Table Meetings

In a dispute it is surprising what can be achieved by a round-table meeting as an alternative to, or as part of, mediation or other forms of alternative dispute resolution (ADR).

This is the most straightforward method of dispute resolution. We ensure that we are prepared for negotiations. The parties to the dispute attend with legal advisers. We can arrange the meeting to be held on neutral ground.

To get the best results, before such a meeting it is essential to consider the following:-

- The best alternative if negotiations fail
- The upper and lower limits of what is acceptable
- Factors that lead to a better result for everyone
- Creative solutions

If agreement is reached, a formal document can be drawn up there and then to bring the dispute to an end. If agreement cannot be reached, there are still the alternatives of ADR, mediation, arbitration and litigation.
