Recent work
C v T acting for claimant (pre-issue) as regards infringement of author’s copyright in published fictional novels via sale and distribution on E-Bay and other online sites. Settled in pre-action negotiations.
V T UK Co Ltd v W advising claimant (pre-issue) regarding an intended injunction to restrain import and sale of products, namely footwear, from an unknown source on the basis that such action would be an economic tort. Central issue became the potential breach of intellectual property rights in the footwear.
Re: D.W: acting for a manufacturer accused of infringing the trade-mark in selling patented storage tanks following the sale of its business to the trade-mark’s owner: a £900,000 claim resolved by mediation.
