Arbitration: B v B.B.D successfully acted for claimant seeking in excess of £230,000 in arbitration over his expulsion from partnership in a firm of solicitors. Central issues were the construction of clauses in the partnership deed dealing with expulsion, post-expulsion liabilities and losses arising from expelled partner’s acts of negligence. Claim settled in Mediation.
H LLP v F acting for proposed defendant (pre-issue) in claim for large excesses payable for purported negligence by defendant. Claim brought post-cessation of partnership.
W.R.K v A advised respondent in challenge to proposed expulsion from partnership on grounds of gross misconduct for breach of Conduct and contractual obligations with regards the provision of legacies. Drafted lengthy submissions by statement defending that each of the seven varied agreements over a thirteen year period were not in part or whole enforceable and submissions on why the grounds were unjustifiable.
