Lisa Bolgar Smith
Lisa Bolgar Smith is Managing Partner of Ambrose Appelbe and head of the Family Team which delivers "professionalism, empathy, knowledge and care" (Legal 500, 2009). She is regarded as an expert in her field and was recently described as "a cool and calming presence in court" (Chambers and Partners, 2010) and listed as a Prominent Figure amongst matrimonial and family lawyers (Citywealth Leaders List, 2010).
A specialist in national and international family cases involving divorce, Lisa advises clients on complex financial matters and all aspects of cases involving children, including child abduction.
Lisa is a trained family mediator and Collaborative family lawyer making her one of the Resolution lawyers who have committed to adopting a non-confrontational approach to divorce by encouraging couples to seek shared-solutions and to reach agreement.
Lisa is also involved with psychodynamic couple counselling at the Tavistock Centre. She is a member of Resolution, the Family Mediators Association, the Relate Quality Partnership and the Holborn Law Society.
Lisa enjoys spending time with her three children, photography, cooking and her sponsorship of the Orchestra of the Age of Enlightenment.
