‘Solicitors for the Elderly’ is an organisation of lawyers in the UK providing specialist legal advice for older and vulnerable people, their families and carers.
Our membership allows us to draw on an additional pool of knowledge and expertise when acting for our elderly or vulnerable clients, or in relation to a particular matter concerning their property or affairs. We provide high quality advice across a broad range of care-related issues, from financial planning to social care and issues relating to abusive conduct/ behaviour. We are also experts in traditional areas of law such as the making of Wills, powers of attorney, probate and the administration of estates, and trusts and tax law. We also advise on a variety of Court of Protection matters.
We place a strong emphasis on trust and loyalty in our client relationships.
We are happy to make home visits, or visits to care homes and hospitals, in order to listen to your concerns and actively ensure these are addressed. We recognise that aspects of daily life can be a strain as you get older and we are happy to assist you in whatever way we can, whether this means dealing with your post or the payment of bills or looking after your investments. We act for many of our elderly clients under powers of attorney and aim to work with you, wherever possible, to ensure that you have the support you need whilst retaining your independence.
